What is Strategic Planning?
Strategic Planning is an essential step for a community to set priorities, allocate limited resources, guide the work of staff, communicate to residents and measure success. The Strategic Plan provides direction from Council so that the organization can focus on the most important initiatives and manage its resources to their greatest potential.
The Strategic Plan identifies specific areas that Council classifies as key areas of focus for the 2022-2026 Council term of office and, at a strategic level, will guide the decision making and work of the municipality throughout the term.
Strategic Priorities could be anything from community well-being, being a fire smart community, affordable housing, economic diversification, parks and trails master plan, or neighbourhood planning to name a few.
Harrison Hot Springs Council is asking for input from its residents and businesses prior to going into a Strategic Planning process.
On August 21, 2023 at 7:00 pm the results of the public survey will be presented to Council in Memorial Hall. Council will provide the residents an opportunity to voice their opinion on the findings.
The survey will be available to the public until Friday, July 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
